Three Hope College women’s lacrosse players have made the 2019 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports NCAA Division III Academic Honor Roll.

The Flying Dutch also earned a spot as a team on the IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad for the 2018-19 academic year.

Senior Allison Darnell, junior Julianna Burlet and junior Carleigh Eidson all represent the Flying Dutch on the Academic Honor Roll. 

To be eligible for this IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 

To qualify for the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, teams must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. There were 130 Division III recipients of the team award.

Darnell graduated from Hope in May after majoring in biology. The Farmington Hills, Michigan native played attack for the Flying Dutch and scored 25 goals this season.

Burlet is an education major. The Hinsdale, Illinois native and Hinsdale Central High School product started as a defender for Hope.

Eidson is an exercise science major. The Holland, Michigan native (West Ottawa HS) also started at defender for the Flying Dutch.

Darnell, Burlet and Eidson are among 630 Division III women’s lacrosse player to make the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
