The Hope College women’s soccer team is 15th in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason NCAA Division III Poll.

The Flying Dutch, led by head coach Leigh Sears, open the season on Friday-Saturday, August 30-31 with home matches against third-ranked Washington-St. Louis and George Fox at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Hope is coming off a 2018 season where the Flying Dutch posted a 16-3-2 overall record and reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time.

The 16 wins tied for the fourth-most in team history.

Hope will seek its fourth consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship this fall.

Sears is in her 19th season leading the Flying Dutch. She has guided Hope to a 226-111-26 overall record during her tenure
