A.D. Bos Vending Services was founded in 1940 by Alvin D. Bos, who retired in 1972.  Thomas G. Bos, his son, led the company from 1972 until 1997.  Thomas J. Bos, Alvin’s grandson and Thomas G.’s son, has been president since 1997.

The Meijer Lecture Series was established in 2008 through the support of the Meijer Foundation and the Joint Archives of Holland.  The annual event highlights experiences of family-owned businesses that have had a historical impact on West Michigan.

The Haworth Inn and Conference Center is located at 225 College Ave., between Ninth and 10th streets.
