The Hope College jazz concerts scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 4, and
Friday, Nov. 6, have both been canceled. They may be held in the spring, but no make-up dates have yet been planned.

Hope College jazz combos will perform on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. The concert can be viewed online at hope.edu/live.

Out of an abundance of caution due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no in-person audience.

The program will include “Pencil and Paper,” by Hope sophomore Houston Patton; “Dyin’ To Live,” by Hope freshman Alijah Nelson; “I Hear a Rhapsody,” by Jack Baker, George Fragos and Dick Gasparre; and “One by One,” by Wayne Shorter.

The Jazz Combo, coached by Jordan VanHemert, includes Carlos Flores, drums; Houston Patton, saxophone; Matthew Patton, saxophone; Dylan Sherman, bass; and Cadence Tennant, piano.  Jazz Combo II, coached by Tom Lockwood, includes Ethan Henry, drums; Charlie Jordan, saxophone; Silas Kubicki, bass; and Dylan Sherman, guitar.  Jazz Combo III, coached by Lisa Sung, includes Joy Gregson, flute; Tyler Koran, drums; piano; Rachel Shaw, bass; and Anna Triezenberg, piano.
