Athletics

Hope College’s Abby Koops has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week.

The freshman from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS) placed first on both boards during a dual-meet victory against Calvin University on Saturday at Holland Aquatic Center.

Koops won the 3-meter board with 261.0 points and the 1-meter board with 236.55 points.

This is the second consecutive MIAA weekly honor for Koops.
