Hope College offensive tackle Brady Eding has been voted to the 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District® Football Teams for NCAA Division III.
The junior from Hamilton, Michigan (Hamilton HS) is one of 27 CoSIDA Academic All-District® honorees chosen in a vote of sports information directors from District 6 that includes schools from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. He is one of six offensive linemen honored.
Eding advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced next month.
On the field, Eding earned All-MIAA Second Team honors in Hope’s last completed season in 2019. He started all 10 games at right tackle and helped the Flying Dutchmen tie a school record with nine wins, made their fifth NCAA playoff appearance, and went undefeated in league play for their 21st MIAA championship.
The business and classical studies double major made the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll as a sophomore.
The Division III CoSIDA Academic All-America® program has been honoring student-athletes since 1952.
The program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA. It is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions III Academic All-America® programs.
