Hope College running back Daniel Romano has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Football Offensive Athlete of the Week.

The junior biomedical and bioelectrical engineering major from Royal Oak, Michigan (Shrine Catholic HS) is receiving the honor for the first time.

Romano’s career-high 244-yard rushing performance helped the MIAA co-leading Flying Dutchmen top Adrian College, 19-7, on Saturday.

In the fourth quarter, Romano sealed Hope’s fifth victory of the season on the final of his 27 carries with a 38-yard touchdown run.
