Two Hope College runners have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America Women’s and Men’s Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-District® Teams for NCAA Division III.

Senior Hannah Kenny and junior Nick Hoffman advance to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in August.

Kenny, a Spanish and social work double major who graduated in May, is one of 12 Academic All-District® women’s honorees from District 6, including schools from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

During the outdoor season, Kenny qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in two events: the 1,500 meters and the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She earned All-MIAA honors and helped the Flying Dutch win a league title in the 4x400 relay and the team championship.

Kenny earned All-MIAA indoor honors as a member of the league champion 4x400 relay. The Flying Dutch were MIAA team champions. 

Hoffman, a public accounting major, is one of 10 Academic All-District® men’s women’s honorees from District 6.

During the outdoor season, Hoffman recorded the highest men’s1,500-meter finish in Hope history with a third-place, All-American effort in May. He also earned MIAA Most Valuable Track Athlete honors after winning league championships in the 800 and 1,500.

Hoffman also claimed the MIAA Most Valuable Track Athlete honors after winning league titles in the 1-mile run and the 3,000 meters. He was runner-up in the 1-mile run at the Elite Indoor Championships.
