Hope College junior Ryan Flynn has been voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Teams for NCAA Division III.

The midfielder from Bloomington, Illinois (Bloomington HS) advanced to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.

Flynn is one of 12 CoSIDA Academic All-District® honorees from District 6 that includes schools from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The exercise science major is one of four midfielders selected from District 6.

In his career, Flynn has scored 14 goals and recorded five assists in 46 games for the Flying Dutchmen.

This spring, Flynn recorded a team-high seven points with three goals and one assist in seven games. The two-time, All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association First Team selection helped the Flying Dutchmen post a 5-1-1 overall record and claim their third MIAA Tournament championship.

The Division III CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions III Academic All-America® programs.
