A young Hope College men's golf team has a bright future ahead as freshman Will Robson is an All-MIAA First Team honoree while sophomore Jack Crawford earned an All-MIAA Second Team award.

Robson and Crawford helped lead the Flying Dutchmen to a tie for second place in the MIAA standings this spring. Hope finished with a 304.0 scoring average over six MIAA Jamborees.

Robson from Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) averaged 74.3 strokes on the season. This is his first All-MIAA honor.

“As a freshman, Will fit right in with the other players on our team and had an outstanding first season,” head coach Scott Lokers said.  “Will not only had the lowest stroke average on our team, but was our most consistent player as well.”

Crawford from Carmel, Indiana (Carmel HS) shot an average of 76.7 strokes in his six rounds. He was an All-MIAA First Team selection last year.

“Jack is a very talented player,” Lokers said. “This season, Jack encountered some of the challenges everyone who plays the game of golf encounters from time to time.  Through it all, Jack exhibited a terrific attitude which really had a positive impact on our team.”
