Hope College's Sydney Jackson has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.≈
The senior from Fort Wayne, IN (Carroll HS) is claiming the honor for the third time in her career, and first time this season.
Jackson, competing at No. 1 singles, defeated her DII Davenport University opponent in just two sets for victory; 6-3 and 6-4.
Jackson, a biomed/bioelectrical engineering major, also competed in doubles at the No. 1 flight. Another victory for Jackson as her and doubles mate, Sullivan Patel, defeated Davenport 8-7 and 7-1.
