The Hope College welcomes jazz singer Laura Anglade on Friday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Jack H. Miller Center, as the college’s Great Performance Series continues in 2026.

Laura AngladeAnglade has long been rooted in the Great American Songbook, and her 2025 album “Get Out of Town” won Vocal Jazz Album of the Year at the 2026 JUNO Awards. At the Hope College concert, she’ll be celebrating her Nov. 13 album release, “Something’s Coming.” The title single is from West Side Story and expands Anglade’s range into something more theatrical, textured, and emotionally open.

Tickets are $32 for adult regular admission, $28 for senior citizens and Hope faculty and staff, $15 for children ages 18 and younger, and free for Hope students. Tickets are available at the ticket office in the Events and Conferences Office located in downtown Holland in the Anderson-Werkman Financial Center (100 E. Eighth St.). The ticket office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be called at 616-395-7890. Tickets are also available online at hope.edu/tickets.

Anglade is entering what she describes as “a new era of my artistry,” one shaped by the feeling of being “on the brink of something I can’t quite name yet.”

Jazziz says "Anglade continues the grand tradition of acting the song, bringing fresh vitality to Songbook standards and some unfairly obscure gems.”

An acclaimed international touring artist, Anglade has headlined major jazz festivals across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Europe, captivating audiences with her innate gift for storytelling. Her conversational stage presence dissolves the distance between performer and listener, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and unforgettable.

“Her sparing use of vibrato, and total lack of affectation are almost startling when you first hear her, because you feel convinced that no singer has ever been so absolutely honest with you,” says The Berkshire Edge.

Anglade has been featured on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s” ‘Late Show Me Music’ series with her enchanting rendition of the Rodgers & Hart classic “Manhattan,” and appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” performing “You Turned The Tables On Me.” She also made a cameo appearance in HBO’s IT: Welcome to Derry.
