The annual Hope College TRIO Upward Bound Golf Outing fundraiser is set for Saturday, May 30 at the Winding Creek Golf Club in Holland, Mich.
The annual fundraiser brings together community members, businesses, alumni and supporters for a day of golf, networking, food, raffles and community impact — all in support of first-generation, college-bound students. Hope College TRIO Upward Bound has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships to local students since 2020.
Registration is now open and can be completed online. Registration includes an 18-hold round of golf, breakfast, lunch, contests and eligibility for raffle prizes. Participants may register individually or as teams, and eight different sponsorship levels ranging from $250 to $5,000 are also available.
Golf pricing is as follows: Individual Golfer – $140; Two-Some Special – $250; Foursome – $500. Registration and breakfast starts at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start set for 8 a.m. Lunch, awards and raffles to follow.
The event helps remove the financial barriers and creates opportunities for students who are often the first in their families to pursue college. Funds raised through the golf outing will directly support:
- Student scholarships
- College visits and career exploration experiences
- Academic coaching and tutoring
- SAT preparation
- Summer session programming on Hope College’s campus
- Leadership and enrichment opportunities for students
