The vice president for business and chief financial officer at Hope College oversees the operation of Hope's business and financial areas.

Robin Oppenhuizen '01 Zondervan, CPA, started her role as the college's chief financial officer and vice president for business on July 1, 2026. 

Zondervan brings 25 years of financial and leadership experience to the role, succeeding Hope’s longtime CFO, Tom Bylsma, who retired after serving the college for 21 years.

Zondervan leads Hope’s business and financial operations, reporting to President Matt Scogin and serving as an officer of the college. Her responsibilities include shaping efforts that strengthen affordability, enhancing the student experience and sustaining financial excellence impacting all matters of the college, including the endowment. In addition, she provides leadership to the college’s business services, auxiliary enterprises, information and technology, operations and human resources departments.
