Becoming a CASA tutor gives you the chance to make a difference in a young child's life. 

In addition to making a difference, you will also be gaining valuable teaching experience, preparation for your future career and learning responsibility. The tutors who take part in CASA are at the very heart of the program's success.

Guidelines and Requirements 

  • Most CASA tutors are Hope College students, yet we welcome tutors from the community
  • Tutors meet twice weekly with one CASA student on the Hope College campus to help with homework, develop academic skills and build supportive relationship
  • Tutors must be available on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05 p.m. until 5 p.m. for the entire semester
  • Tutors are expected to miss sessions only for illness or other unavoidable, unforeseen reasons
