FINGERPRINTING RESULTS
Hope College is now working with the Professional Educational Services
Group (PESG) for housing results of criminal background checks and processing
paperwork for substitute teaching. PESG works with all school districts
in Ottawa Country and
most other districts in the counties of Kent, VanBuren, Allegan.
The results of your background check will be sent directly to PESG when
you utilize their LiveScan Agency Fingerprint Data Entry Form above.
At the beginning of each semester, the Education Department will submit
a list of student teachers to PESG to verify that they have received
your criminal background check results. You
will not be allowed to begin your student teaching placement until PESG
has received your criminal background results.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT HOPE COLLEGE DOES
NOT RECEIVE SPECIFIC DETAILS OF THE CRIMINAL
BACKGROUND RESULTS. FOR FUTURE USE YOU MUST CONTACT PESG DIRECTLY
TO HAVE YOUR RESULTS SENT TO PERPSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES.
If you had a criminal background check completed within the last academic
year for a paid position (coaching, summer camp, etc.), you will need
to submit a Fingerprints Transferred to PESG (Form 12) at the above link
to your former employer.
