Phase Equilibrium and Separations I
Course Description
Study of the concepts of thermodynamic phase equilibrium and their
application to large-scale separation processes used in industrial practice.
Topics studied will include vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid equilibrium,
nonideal solution behavior, single and multiple equilibrium stage calculations,
distillation, absorption and extraction, binary and multicomponent systems,
and equipment design considerations.
