Where is the ticket office located; what are the hours?
Our main office is located directly inside the east entrance of the DeVos Fieldhouse at 222 Fairbanks Ave. We also have a new location downtown in the Events and Conferences Office on 100 E 8th Street on the Main Floor.  During the summer months (May-Mid August) we are located at the DeWitt Center Ticket Office, at 141 E. 12th St., in addition to the 100 E. 8th St. location.
Our regular scheduled office hours are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Office hours may vary depending on event schedules and the time of year. See current hours and locations.

What tickets are available at the ticket office?
The Hope College Ticket Office handles tickets for most of the events that take place on campus. All tickets for athletic events, dance, theatre, HSRT, and Great Performance Series are currently made available for purchase through this office.

Can I order over the phone or internet?
We can accept ticket orders over the phone during regular business hours by calling 616-395-7890. Tickets may also be purchased online here Please note that there is an additional charge for purchasing tickets online.

What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Checks should be made payable to Hope College.

Can I get a refund for my tickets or exchange them?
We do not give refunds for previously purchased tickets. Exchanges may be made for a different performance of the same show with at least 24 hours advanced notice. We must get your old tickets back before we can make an exchange for the new show.

What if I lose my tickets?
In most cases, we are able to reprint your tickets if you’ve lost them. Simply let the ticket office staff know, and they will be happy to help you.

Can I have tickets held for me at the ticket office?
Our ticketing system will no longer allow us to hold tickets without payment. Once tickets are purchased we can hold them at the ticket office or at the venue for pick up. We can also mail ticket orders via USPS First Class Mail with two weeks notice.

When can I purchase an individual game ticket?
Tickets for individual games (football, women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse) will be made available for sale during regular hours at the ticket office. And will be available on line as well. Tickets will also be available on the day of the contest. Special circumstances (Hope v. Calvin, Tournaments, Playoffs, etc.) may alter this distribution schedule. Check our website for updates during the season and throughout the playoffs.

When do the doors open?
Typically, for basketball games the doors will open for spectators one hour before the first scheduled tipoff (including JV games). Special circumstances (Hope v. Calvin, Tournaments, Playoffs, etc.) may alter this schedule.
For theatre and dance events the doors typically open 30 minutes before the event. For graduations, special events and other outside groups using the facility the time varies depending on their schedule.

How do I reserve DeVos Fieldhouse for my organization's special event?

How can I get basketball season tickets?
Currently, men's basketball season tickets are sold out but the waiting list is open. If you are already on the waiting list you will be contacted regarding any openings as they become available during the season ticket renewal process, which begins in August.

How can I get on the waiting list for basketball season tickets?
The waiting list is currently open. Individuals can call the Ticket Office at (616) 395-7890 or stop by the ticket office at the DeVos Fieldhouse or 100 E. 8th and fill out the form.  You will be placed on the waiting list. If season tickets become available, we will contact you with further information and give you the opportunity to purchase tickets.

How do I renew or cancel my season tickets?
A mailing for season ticket renewals and cancellations is sent out in August. If you choose to renew or cancel your season tickets, please mark the appropriate box and return the form to the Ticket Office. If you cancel your season tickets and wish to purchase them again, you must put your name on the waiting list for future availability.

Can I transfer my season tickets to my child or another individual?
Season Tickets may not be transferred to other individuals. The only exception is to a spouse of a season ticket holder, or the surviving spouse in the event of death. Season tickets may not be transferred to children or anyone else. Non-compliance will result in forfeiture of season tickets.

When can I purchase an individual game ticket for men’s basketball?
Tickets for individual games will be made available for sale during regular hours at the ticket office or via phone for the next game on the schedule only. For example, during a typical week you can purchase basketball tickets on Monday or Tuesday for a Wednesday game, but not for a Saturday game. Pricing and schedules available here.
Tickets will also be available on the day of the contest. Special circumstances (Hope v. Calvin, Tournaments, Playoffs, etc.) may alter this distribution schedule. Check our website for updates during the season and throughout the playoffs.

How can I purchase a Hope vs. Calvin ticket?
Hope vs. Calvin men's basketball game tickets are in extremely high demand and this game is sold out each season. Season ticket holders, Calvin College students and fans, parents of players, recruits, students, staff, and faculty members are all allotted tickets prior to the game. There is will not be a general public sale for tickets. Fortunately these games are televised on WGVU Channel 35 for both the home and away game.

How much are tickets for individual basketball games?
Single game tickets are:

  • $12 for reserved seating
  • $7 for Adult general bleacher seating
  • $5 for Child 18 and under/non-MIAA student
  • Hope Students are free with ID with the exception of the Calvin game which requires a ticket.
  • Faculty/Staff and their immediate family are free with ID with the with the exception of the Calvin game which requires a ticket.

Where is the ticket office located; what are the hours?
We have two offices. One is located in the DeWitt Center Ticket Office, at 141 E. 12th St. Our new downtown location is in the Events & Conferences Office located at 100 E 8th St on the main floor. Our regular scheduled office hours are 10:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday in both locations. Once shows begin to run we are open on Saturdays from 12:00pm-5:00pm in the DeWitt Center Ticket Office. Also, on nights where there are scheduled shows, we remain open until the performance time and during intermission.

How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets may be purchased in person at one of our two locations, on the phone at (616) 395-7890, or online here. Please note, there is an additional fee for tickets purchased online. We accept payment in the form of cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Checks should be made payable to Hope College.

How do I purchase season tickets?
You can purchase season tickets at any time during or before the season. The “Best Buy” package includes a ticket to 4 main stage productions. The “Season” package includes a ticket to all 5 main stage productions.  There are also children and adult season tickets available for our children’s shows as well. This is an excellent way to save money and see all of our productions.

What is an “Early Bird Season Ticket”?
Early Bird tickets are season tickets that are purchased before the next season is announced.  The deadline for these is April 1. These individuals purchase the season at last years price, as well as being able choose the dates for the shows before they are made available to the general public. If you are interested in purchasing an Early Bird Season Ticket call the Ticket Office at (616) 395-7890. An order form is also available in the current season program.

Do I need to purchase tickets ahead of time?
Depending on the show’s popularity and number of tickets remaining, tickets will be available at the door. You may purchase tickets with cash, a check, or any major credit card.

Are there Rush tickets available? What are Rush tickets?
Rush tickets are tickets that are sold at the last minute for the performance and at a discounted price of $10. These tickets are not guaranteed and are not available for all shows. Availability is based off of how many tickets are remaining and if the show is sold out. If they are available, a rush list will start at 7:30pm, or 30 minutes prior to show time. You must be at the ticket office in person to sign up for Rush tickets, and we will let you know 10 minutes prior to show time if we have tickets available.

Why do you ask for my address, phone number and email?
We use this information for several reasons. If there is an issue with the performance, it has changed, cancelled or if there are questions about your sale, we need a way to contact you. If you are paying by credit card, this information matches to your address as a security measure.

Do you need volunteer ushers for a performances?
If you’re interested in ushering, contact the Theatre Department at (616) 395-7600.
