2024 High School ExploreHope Camp Intern

Position

Interns will support the summer camp program by helping summer camp staff prepare for camps through a variety of tasks and through supervision of campers during the lunch period. 

Responsibilities

  • Help with drop of and pick up of campers daily
  • Prepare name tags for campers
  • Prepare pick up sheets
  • Operate the snack cart daily
  • Organize t-shirts for campers
  • Help in camps on an as-needed basis
  • Supervise campers during the lunch break
  • Occasional office related tasks 

Qualifications

  • Student in good academic standing 
  • Good verbal communication skills 
  • Self-directed and proactive with good time-management skills
  • Ability to count money and make change
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment 

Physical Demands

While performing duties, employee will occasionally stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms/hands; talk; hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The office is climate controlled.
