2026 Senior Capstone Showcase and Retirement Celebration

Celebrate the Class of 2026’s accomplishments by attending the Senior Capstone Showcase, and congratulate Dr. Michael Jipping on his retirement.

You are invited to join the Department of Computer Science on Thursday, April 30, for our Senior Capstone and Retirement Celebration.

Senior Capstone Showcase

Drop in between 4 and 6 p.m. in Van Zoeren 142.
Learn about the 2026 Capstone Projects our seniors are completing for Hand2Hand Kids, Humanity for Prisoners and the Hope College Provost’s office.

Celebration with Dr. Dershem and Dr. Jipping

Starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be light refreshments in the Schaap Center Atrium. A brief program will take place at 6 p.m. in Science Center room 1000.
Celebrate the establishment of the Dr. Herbert Dershem Professorship in Computer Science.
Honor the years of service and contributions to the college of Dr. Michael Jipping, who is retiring at the end of the 2025–26 academic year.
