Athletics Dr. Anne Irwin, Hope’s First Director of Women’s Athletics, Dies at 79
Dr. Anne E. Irwin, Hope College’s first director of women’s athletics and an unfailing advocate for gender equity in college sports, died on Saturday, April 3 at her home in Fennville, Michigan, after a battle with cancer. She was 79.

Campus Life Esther K. Chae to Present “Lights, Camera, Asian American Action!”
Award winning actor, playwright and consultant Esther K. Chae will present “Lights, Camera, Asian American Action!” virtually as the 2021 Asian Heritage Lecture at Hope College on Thursday, April 22, at 6 p.m. EDT. Chae’s address will focus on her journey as a Korean American actor and artist.

Campus Life First Mellon Community-Based Partnership at Hope College
The first round of funding to link community organizations with Hope College faculty and students, who together will address pressing needs in Holland area, has recently been awarded to three projects through a 42-month, $800,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
