MIAA football champion Hope ranked third in the nation in home attendance among the 221 football-playing NCAA Division III teams.

In four regular season home games at Holland Municipal Stadium, the Flying Dutchmen averaged 5,019 fans per game.

Emory & Henry, Va. led all Division III teams, averaging 6,263 fans over five games while Mississippi College was second at 5,146 over four games.

The attendance was Hope's best since moving to Holland Municipal Stadium in 1979. Winning three-of-four home games on their home turf, the Flying Dutchmen improved their all-time stadium won/loss mark to 60-36-3.

The year's best attendance was 5,475 fans for the season-opening Community Day game which was played under the lights. A season-ending game against Albion which clinched the MIAA championship drew 5,025 fans.
