Spatha-Two Guitars will perform at Hope College on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

Spatha-Two Guitars is a project created by guitarists Brandon Dyke and Shawn Allen. Determined to break the boundaries of classical music, their concerts range from Johan Sebastian Bach to Phillip Glass.

Allen holds a Bachelor's degree in guitar performance from the University of Southern California. Primarily a classical guitarist, he is also proficient in jazz, rock, fusion, and bluegrass. He has written music for film and television, and is an in-demand performer and instructor.

Dyke holds a Bachelor's degree in guitar performance from Toccoa Falls College. He is also well-versed in jazz, Latin, rock, and fusion styles. An avid composer and arranger, Dyke is currently authoring the book "Jazz Studies for the Classical Guitarist."
