The Hope Republicans will welcome U.S. Senatorial Candidate Mike Bouchard and U.S. Congressional Candidate Rep. Pete Hoekstra to Hope College on Friday, Oct. 27 beginning at 2 p.m. in the Maas Auditorium.

The candidates will discuss Faith, Values, and Public Policy.

The public is invited to the discussion. Admission is free.

Mike Bouchard was born in Flint, and now lives in Oakland County, where he serves as sheriff. As sheriff, Bouchard has worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of the people he serves and use their money wisely. Prior to taking office in 1999, Bouchard served in the Michigan state Senate for eight years as well as the Michigan House of Representatives.

Congressman Pete Hoekstra is currently serving his sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Hoekstra serves as the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence; a position he has held since 2001. Prior to entering politics Hoekstra was a high-ranking executive at a Fortune 500 company.

The Maas Auditorium is located on Columbia Avenue at 11th Street. The auditorium doors will open at 1:30 p.m. The auditorium is handicapped accessible.
