A series of non-partisan roundtable events will explore issues related to the forthcoming November elections in the context of faith.

"Bound in a Common Life: Hope's Election Roundtable '08" will run on Tuesday, Oct. 7, Tuesday, Oct. 21, and Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the college's Maas Center auditorium.  The roundtable discussions are sponsored by the college's department of political science and chapter of the Pi Sigma Alpha political science honorary society.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

Each evening will feature a different topic:  Oct. 7, national security; Oct. 21, health care policy; Oct. 28, environmental and energy policy.  The student-moderated presentations will feature panels of Hope faculty representing a variety of academic programs at the college.  Each faculty member will present an overview of how faith shapes his or her perspective of the evening's topic, with town-hall-format discussion of the topic to follow.

The Maas Center is located at 264 Columbia Ave., on Columbia Avenue at 11th Street.
