Recent graduates Nick Campbell (Saline/Saline HS) and Andy Thomson (Beaver Dam, Wisc./Central Wisc. Christian HS) have been named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Each is being honored for a second consecutive year. To be eligible, golfers must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average 79.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.
Campbell and Thomson were four-year letterwinners and co-captains of the 2011-12 team. The Flying Dutchmen were champions of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and competed in the NCAA Division III national championships.
