An exhibition of artwork by Hope College alumni is being presented in the gallery of the De Pree Art Center.

The Alumni Art Show will feature alumni from the college’s studio art program.  Their class years range from 1963 through 2009, and they are from as far away as Cambridge, Mass., and Middleton, Idaho, and as nearby as Holland.

All media, including painting, sculpture, installation and works on paper, are included. All of the work in the show was produced in the last two years.

The artists with work in the exhibition (with each artist’s class year in parentheses) are:  Erin Beaver (’00) of Seymour, Wis.; Heidi Bender (’04) of Chillicothe, Ohio; Joan Bonnette (’63) of South Haven; Jeffrey Brown (’97) of Chicago, Ill.; Nikolas Burkhart (’09) of Chicago, Ill.; Michelle Calkins (’90) of Holland; David Chapple (’91) of Grand Blanc; Todd Erickson (’81) of Farmington Hills; Mary Piers George (’68) of Holland; Clarissa Gregory (’05) of Baltimore, Md.; Jennifer Hansen Gard (’08) of West Olive; Brent Jackson (’03) of Holland; Jon Kay (’08) of Fishers, Ind.; John Killmaster (’67) of Middleton, Idaho; Dylana Pinter (’08) of Holland; Emilie Puttrich (’09) of Cambridge, Mass.; Laurene Warren-Grunwald (’89) of Nunica; and Audrey Wasielewski (’09) of Fort Collins, Colo.  Bender, Jackson and Wasielewski will be participating in the panel discussion.

The exhibition will continue through Sunday, Nov. 18.

The De Pree Art Center is located on Columbia Avenue at 12th Street. The gallery is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is handicapped accessible.  Additional information about the exhibition or gallery may be obtained by calling the De Pree Art Center at (616) 395-7500.
