The Hope College Concert Band will perform Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The Concert Band will be performing a wide variety of music and will showcase a number of student conductors from the music education program.  Selections will include “Marche des Parachutistes Belges,” by Pierre Leemans and arranged by Charles A. Wiley; “Shepherd’s Hey,” by Percy Grainger; “Festivo,” by Vaclav Nelhybel; “The Sussex Mummers’ Christmas Carol,” by Percy Grainger; “An Original Suite for Military Band,” by Gordon Jacob; “Irish Tune from Country Derry,” by Percy Grainger; and “Bravado (Paso Doble),” by Frederic Curzon.

The concert band consists of Hope students, alumni, and community members from the Holland and Zeeland area.  The student conductors will include seniors Genevieve Janvrin of Woodridge, Illinois; Melissa Johnson of Livonia; Allie Kessel of Custer and Leah Marie Peterson of Holland.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
