The Hope College women’s tennis team is ranked 33rd in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division III rankings.

Coach Adam Ford’s Flying Dutch are the highest-ranked Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association team in the national poll. Hope also is ranked ninth in the ITA Central Region rankings.

Individually, two Hope singles players and one doubles team are ranked in the region.

Sophomore Nancy Benda of Birmingham, Michigan (Seaholm HS), ranks 13th among singles players in the Central Region.

Junior Claire Cooper of Williamston, Michigan (Williamston HS), is 15th.

Benda and doubles partner, senior Carli Capestany of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville HS), are fourth among doubles teams in the Central Region.

Hope is idle until Saturday, February 7, when it plays at Northern Illinois for a match.
