The eighth annual High School Honors Band Festival at Hope College will conclude with a concert on Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited to the performance. Admission is free.

A total of 80-100 students from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Wisconsin will be attending the two-day festival on Friday-Saturday, March 27-28.  The students will work with Hope faculty member Gabe Southard on band repertoire and meet with various faculty members for master classes.

During the March 28 concert, the band will be performing John Barnes Chance’s “Incantation and Dance”; Richard Wagner’s “Trauermusik”; Michael Markowski’s “Shadow Rituals”; and John Williams’ “Star Wars Trilogy,” arranged by Donald Hunsberger.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
