Hope College’s Paige Courts has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through March 29.
The sophomore from Caledonia, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian HS), won both her matches at No. 5 singles over the weekend as the 22nd-ranked Flying Dutch split a pair of matches against nationally ranked opponents.
Courts posted a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Denison, Ohio, and accounted for the Flying Dutch’s only point in a loss to Case Western Reserve, Ohio, winning her match 7-6 (5), 2-6, 10-7.
Courts is being honored as MIAA Player of the Week for the first time this season and the second time in her career.
