Hope College’s Erin Herrmann has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets through October 15.

The senior from Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS) is honored after placing first out of 528 runners at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Kollege Town Invitational last weekend in Winneconne, Wisconsin.

Herrmann clocked a 6K time of 21 minutes, 23 seconds. She helped the Flying Dutch finished fifth out of 36 teams.

This was Herrmann’s fourth first-place performance of the season. She also has finished first at the Vanderbilt Invitational, Ferris State Invitational and MIAA Jamboree.

This is the third time this season Herrmann has been named MIAA Cross Country Runner of the Week and the fifth time in her career.
