
Alexandra Webb’s offensive prowess made her a difficult cover for opponents of the Hope College women’s lacrosse team.
Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association coaches took notice, handing the senior
attacker from Woodland Hills, California (Calabasas HS) first-team all-league honors
for the 2017 season.
Webb is one of three first-team attackers and 12 first-team honorees.
Four of Webb’s teammates received second-team recognition: attackers Erin Caton and
Emily Deane, and defenders Mara Droppers and Audrey Park.
Webb tied for fifth among MIAA players with 12 assists in league games this season.
She also added 17 goals vs. MIAA foes to finish ninth in points with 45.
Webb helped the Flying Dutch win five of seven league games and earn the No. 3 seed
for the MIAA Tournament.
Caton collected 13 of her 16 assists this season against MIAA competition. The junior
from Rochester Hills, Michigan (Pontiac Notre Dame Prep) also scored nine times in
league matches.
Deane scored 20 of her 24 goals this season in MIAA play. The junior from Rochester
Hills, Michigan (Adams) also recorded four assists.
Droppers scooped up 24 ground balls and caused 16 turnovers during MIAA matches. The
senior from Winter Park, Florida (Winter Park) also chipped in two goals and two assists.
Park collected 24 ground balls and caused 22 turnovers against MIAA opponents. The
senior from Ann Arbor, Michigan (Huron) also scored twice.
