Hope College’s Emily Hamilton has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Runner of the Week for the week of October 23-29.
The junior from Naperville, Illinois (North HS) is honored for the second time this
season after clinching MIAA Most Valuable Runner honors Saturday with a runner-up
finish at the league championships in Tecumseh, Michigan.
Hamilton clocked a second-place time of 21 minutes, 59.9 seconds on the course at
Raisin Valley Golf Club.
Hamilton helped the Flying Dutch post a winning score of 20 points for their third
consecutive MIAA Championship.
It is the second time in team history Hope has been claimed a three-peat of women’s
cross country titles.
