Hope College goalie Jordanne Ellingboe has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played between October 9-14.
The freshman from Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS) is recognized for the first
time after recording two shutouts in MIAA victories last week.
Ellingboe made six saves during a 4-0 victory against second-place Olivet College
on Tuesday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
Ellingboe collected five saves during a 2-0 victory against second-place Kalamazoo
College on Saturday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
Ellingboe helped the MIAA-leading Flying Dutch extend their lead to seven points with
four league matches remaining. Hope could clinch its sixth MIAA championship and second
in a row as early as this week.
Ellingboe has allowed only two goals in 12 MIAA matches this season.
