Hope College’s Hilary Curry has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for competition between September 4–10.
The junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville Calvin Christian HS) scored three goals over two matches last week as the Flying Dutch went 2-0 to start MIAA play.
Curry netted two second-half goals in a 3-0 win at Albion on Wednesday. Her offense came with a 60-second span and broke a scoreless tie.
Curry capped a 2-0 win against visiting Adrian on Saturday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium by scoring 1 ½ minutes in the second half after the Flying Dutch took a 1-0 lead.
This is the first time Curry has received the MIAA weekly honor.
