Three members of the Hope College men’s track & field team have earned all-region honors from the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2017 outdoor track & field season: Joshua Izenbart, Ben Pederson and Nicholas Salomon.

The top-five individuals in each event within a region are recognized along with the top-three relay teams. Hope is in the Great Lakes Region.

Izenbart received all-region honors in both the decathlon and the high jump. He is a freshman from Glenwood, Illinois (Homewood-Flossmoor HS).

Pederson is an all-region performer in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. The junior from Mount Prospect, Illinois (Prospect) has qualified for nationals in the event.

Salomon nabbed all-region recognition in the 800 meters. The senior from Troy, Michigan (Detroit Jesuit) has qualified for nationals in the event.

A total of 935 men’s track & field athletes claimed all-region recognition this season.
