Hope College golfers Britni Gielow and Nicole Meyer have earned Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar honors for the third consecutive season.

The Flying Dutch pair were among 952 women’s collegiate golfers to achieve the distinction that requires a minimum grade point average of 3.50.

Gielow, from Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores HS), was a senior this past season. Meyer, from Brighton, Michigan (Brighton), was a junior.

Gielow and Meyer helped this season Hope finish 11th at the NCAA Division III Championship in May and repeat as Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champions.

What an honor to be named three years in a row! They are both outstanding on the golf course and in the classroom!” head coach Greg Stafford said. “They are a pleasure to coach — I think they are very typical of the athletes we get in the golf program here at Hope — very good golfers and great students! These two have been a very big part of the success we have enjoyed the last three years at Hope."
