The Hope College Chapel Choir and SPERA vocal ensemble will perform a joint concert on Saturday, March 12, at 6 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The program is titled “Unclouded Day.” Music presented will span from contemporary gospel arrangements (“Better is One Day”), to pop tunes (“True Colors”), Latinx folk songs (“Serenata para la tierra de uno”), spirituals (“Deep River”), Renaissance music (“Ave Verum Corpus”) and other genres.

In addition, students across campus have submitted original artwork in the forms of studio art and poetry in response to the music being performed during the concert. These pieces will be displayed in the lobby of Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts during the choral concert.

The Chapel Choir, founded in 1938, is an advanced ensemble that seeks to study advanced choral repertoire, and is open to all students by audition. SPERA is an ensemble for treble voice created in 2020, and is open to all soprano and alto students by audition.
