    The popular ExploreHope Summer Camps at Hope College for children have achieved accreditation from the American Camp Association, providing external recognition of the engaging hands-on science experiences that area K-12 students have enjoyed for a quarter century.

    Kick-Off for NEA Big Read Lakeshore and Little Read Lakeshore Is Oct. 25

    A virtual presentation by U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo on Monday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. will formally launch a month’s worth of online and in-person events scheduled for this year’s NEA Big Read Lakeshore and Little Read Lakeshore as the programs provide a community-wide opportunity to explore Native American history and culture.

    Gentile Lectureship Series to Focus on Freshwater Plastic Pollution

    Research scientist Dr. Sherri “Sam” Mason, who is sustainability coordinator at Penn State Behrend, will present “The Perils of Plastic Pollution” on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Hope College in the classroom of the Hope Academy of Senior Professionals (HASP) on the main floor of the Anderson-Werkman Financial Center.
