Community-Based Research

Frost Center meets the data and research needs of West Michigan and the Holland area by facilitating collaboration between community organizations, Hope College faculty experts, our professional research staff and undergraduate researchers.

Community partners we serve include non-profit organizations, local units of government, and area businesses.

Frost Center staff work closely with each partner, coordinating multiple methodologies to help them reach their goals. Our community-based research approach leverages the skills of all project participants and continues the Hope College history of college-community collaboration.

Community-Based Research
Frost Center takes a community-based research approach. This means developing collaborative partnerships between West Michigan organizations and Hope faculty experts, trained student researchers and the professional research staff of Frost Center. Together we develop and implement a research design that answers a question, addresses a community problem or provides data to guide change.
Community Partner Pricing

Frost Center for Data and Research strives for equity in access to our data and research services, regardless of a community organization’s status or classification. To this end, we have established tiered pricing for research completed with community partners.
