Virtual Reality

Immersive experiences create new opportunities for learning, empathy and understanding.

Virtual reality creates immersive environments where students can explore places, ideas and experiences that would otherwise be impossible or impractical to experience. Rather than simply learning about a topic, students can engage with it directly, creating meaningful connections between knowledge and experience.

Immersive learning encourages students to ask questions, reflect on what they observe and consider perspectives different from their own. When paired with thoughtful discussion, these experiences strengthen many skills, such as communication, reasoning, empathy and curiosity. Virtual reality enhances education by making learning more accessible, active, engaging and memorable.

The GRACE Project intentionally uses virtual reality for deeper learning. By combining immersive technology with democratic deliberation and civil dialogue, the GRACE Project helps students think logically and engage respectfully with others.
