Resources for Faculty and Higher Ed

Hope faculty are encouraged to apply for GRACE Course Redesign Grants, joining a cohort of faculty members who are integrating practices of democratic deliberation, civil dialogue and the Virtues of Public Discourse into course design and classroom engagement.

While the GRACE Project is based at Hope College, our resources and support are designed to be accessible and beneficial to educators at colleges and universities nationwide. We invite faculty and staff from all institutions to explore our curriculum, engage with our teaching materials and consult with us to foster civil dialogue and democratic deliberation in their own classrooms and on their own campuses.

Resources include:

• Classroom engagement strategies for navigating difficult discussions
• Materials for teaching argumentation, virtue, democratic deliberation and civil dialogue
• Jargon-free explanations of key concepts for civic education on the Speaking of Democracy podcast and GRACE video series
• Virtual Reality and Immersive Storytelling consultation and support 
• Opportunities to participate in GRACE events and lectures
