Civic Activities Toolkit

To foster civic engagement in higher education, the GRACE Project is developing resources for the classroom and beyond. These activities focus on democratic deliberation, argumentation, virtue and civil dialogue. They are free and open to the public.

The Civic Activities Toolkit is a collaborative effort. Developed from tried and true pedagogical practices, these adaptable resources provide educators with an array of activities, workshops and discussion practices that cultivate student engagement and foster democratic deliberation.

The Civic Activities Toolkit is sponsored by the GRACE Project’s FIPSE grant from the US Department of Education, and is being developed over the grant’s four-year run by the GRACE Project’s student leaders, faculty and guest participants, and the GRACE Project Director, Dr. Sarah Kornfield.
