Children’s
Dance/Dance History; Maxine is the founder of the Dance Department at
Hope College. Maxine holds several positions in dance education associations,
most notably
as President
of the
National
Dance Education
Organization, national chair of Little Footsteps To Go for the National
Dance Association, and as the IS representative for Dance and the Child
International (daCi). In 2004 she received the Life Time Achievement Award
in Dance Education for the Michigan Dance Council. She
is also the director of the Sacred
Dance Company.
