INFORMATION FOR FACULTY

We welcome contact from Hope College faculty and staff to confidentially discuss student academic concerns. Peer tutoring, group help sessions, and academic coaching by an ASC professional is available to all Hope College students free of charge.

Workshops and Class Presentations
ASC Staff members are also available to lead student sucess workshops and presentations tailored to specific courses and student groups.

Study/Help Sessions for Your Academic Discipline
The ASC is pleased to partner with Faculty to establish study groups/help sessions for particularly challenging courses. Please contact Janet Pinkham if you are interested in this service.

Assisting Students with Disabilities
Faculty may consult with the Coordinator of Academic Success Services for Students with Disabilities at any time if they have questions concerning arrangements for a student's classroom accommodations, proctoring of exams, or note taking arrangements.

The ASC coordinates academic accommodations, including the proctoring of exams, for students with documented learning, physical, medical, sensory, and psychological disabilities.

How Faculty May Assist the ASC

Inform Your Students About the ASC
On your course syllabus, and in class, please announce the availability of group help sessions, tutoring services, and academic success at the the ASC. Please stress that visiting the ASC early and often can make a significant difference in students' grades.

Refer Potential Tutors to the ASC
As the semester progresses, please note students you believe would make good tutors and send their names to Janet Pinkham at Pinkham@Hope.edu.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to help students achieve academic success!
