In conjunction with national "Make a Difference Day," some 85 Hope College students will travel to six different retirement homes in the area on Saturday, Oct. 26, to interact with the residents.

From 10 a.m. to noon, they will engage in activities including pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, game playing and baking.

The centers being visited are FountainView, Freedom Village, Heritage Health Care, Resthaven Retirement, Resthaven Care Center/Good Shepherd Home, and The Warm Friend.

The project is coordinated by the college's student-run Office of Volunteer Services.
