An international bazaar, showcase and cuisine will provide a sampling of cultural heritage from around the world during Hope College's "Images: A Reflection of Cultures," which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Phelps Hall and the Knickerbocker Theatre.

An international bazaar, showcase and cuisine will provide a sampling of cultural heritage from around the world during Hope College's "Images: A Reflection of Cultures," which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Phelps Hall and the Knickerbocker Theatre.

Approximately 100 students and members of the community will be participating. There is an admission charge for the dinner, but the bazaar and showcase are each free.

"Images: A Reflection of Cultures" will begin with a dinner featuring international cuisine from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Phelps Hall dining room. For those not on the college's meal plan, admission will be $5 per person. Admission will be payable at the door.

The international bazaar will take place at the Knickerbocker Theatre beginning at 7 p.m. The international showcase will begin at 8 p.m., and will also be held at the Knickerbocker Theatre.

The showcase will feature songs, poems, dances and other clips of culture in multiple languages and fashions. Countries represented will include Ethiopia, France, Germany, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Tajikistan and Nepal.

"Images: A Reflection of Cultures" is sponsored by the college's Office of International Education.

Phelps Hall is located on the corner of Columbia Avenue and 10th Street. The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. 8th St.
