The Hope College Symphonette will present its second concert of the 2002-03 season on Friday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Holland, located at 57 West 10th St.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
The concert will include works by Khachaturian, Faure, Stravinsky and Grieg.
The first work on the program will be the "Masques et Bergamasques, Op. 112," by Gabriel Faure. The light-hearted work is typical of the sensitive composition style of the French master.
Next, the Symphonette will perform "Suite for Strings, in the Olden Style from Holberg's Time Op.40," by Edward Grieg. Igor Stravinsky's "Pulcinella Suite for Orchestra after J.B. Pergolesi" will follow.
The program will close with "Three Dances from the Gayne Ballet Suite," by Aram Khachaturian.
