Hope junior and senior women have the opportunity to participate in the third annual "Professional Women's Networking Reception" on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Etheridge Room of the Haworth Inn and Conference Center.

The event is being held in conjunction with the college's 19th annual Women's Week. The reception is a time for the students to meet with women from a variety of different careers, find out what it is like to work in those fields and practice networking skills.

Women's Week is a celebration scheduled in recognition of women, and this year's focus is "Seeking Solidarity: Revisioning Our Roots." The two-week event will continue through Friday, March 7, and is scheduled to coincide with national Women's History Month, which is March.

The "Professional Women's Networking Reception" is co-sponsored by the "I.VE League" student group. I.VE League focuses on the development of leadership skills and learning about the roles of women in the community. Founded in 1992, I.VE League was named in honor of Isla Van Eenenaam, former dean of women at Hope.
